Rackmount DVD/CD Duplicator User’s Manual 1
Chapter 1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing a TEAC or TASCAM 4U Rackmount DVD/CD
Duplicator.
The Rackmount DVD/CD Duplicator is a stand-alone disc-to-disc DVD/CD
Duplicator system that does not require connection to a computer. It can duplicate
a single master DVD±R to DVD±R media at up to 20X speeds, resulting in an
exact replica of a 4.7GB disc. It can duplicate discs to CD-R/CD-RW media at up
to 48X/32X speeds respectively. It can also duplicate discs to DVD±R DL media.
The Rackmount DVD/CD Duplicator is designed to perform DVD and CD
copying quickly and accurately. The Rackmount DVD/CD Duplicator
automatically identifies source DVD formats and replicates the content as
required.
The Rackmount DVD/CD Duplicator performs continuous copying with no
waiting. It is an ideal DVD/CD Duplicator for the advanced user who requires
speed and accuracy.
You can set up your Rackmount DVD/CD Duplicator very quickly and easily.
There is no need to install any software. There is no need to attach any cables to
your computer. The Rackmount DVD/CD Duplicator functions entirely as a
stand-alone unit.
Note: This User's Manual is intended for both TEAC and TASCAM branded
Rackmount DVD/CD Duplicators. Operational instructions for both models are
essentially the same. The primary differences between the models are the TEAC
or TASCAM logo on the LCD control panel and the name plate on the rear panel.
Caution: Your Rackmount DVD/CD Duplicator can operate on either 115VAC
or 220VAC voltage. Before you turn on the power to the unit, be certain to select
the correct voltage for your region by setting the AC Voltage Selector on the rear
panel. Failure to do so can result in damage to the unit. For more information,
refer to page 5.
